Overview

Off the shelfor built to fit

Sometimes the right answer is a pack that's already been tested, since it cuts development cost and months of lead time out of the program, but when the space claim is awkward, the discharge profile is unusual, or the platform needs a bus the pack doesn't speak, it gets designed instead. Our team quotes both and tells you which one your program actually needs.

Custom smart packs

Cells, protection electronics and enclosure designed to your specification, with a custom smart PCB rather than a catalog board bent to fit. Full open architecture Battery Management System design comes as part of the package.

Large format

From 300 watt hours to 30 kilowatt hours and beyond, for platforms a standard pack will not carry.

Stock smart packs

Proven packs already through approval, where the form factor and discharge curve fit what you are building.

Chargers and power

Lithium ion, LiFePO4, NiMH and lead acid chargers from 15 to 300 watts, held in stock in the United States for immediate shipment.

Verification

Every packacross the tester

A battery that reports its state wrong is worse than one that is simply flat, because the platform believes it. So every pack is tested on automated equipment, not sampled.

What gets checked

Open circuit voltage, charge overvoltage, discharge overcurrent, fast charge, temperature sensing, pack impedance and parameter limits.

Verification

Our team handles third-party regulatory testing from quoting through certification. Our in-house engineering team builds samples to spec, and our established lab relationships, covering UL, TÜV, UN/DOT 38.3, and more; keep the process fast and on track.

Bus protocols

SMBus, I2C, HDQ and CAN, so the pack reports to the host controller in the language your platform already speaks.

Data retained

Results are logged to a database and kept, so a pack that comes back from the field years later can be checked against how it left.

Specification review

Voltage, capacity, peak and continuous draw, duty cycle, temperature range, space claim and connector. Most pack problems trace back to one of these being assumed rather than stated.

Electronics and enclosure design

Components selected and a custom smart PCB laid out for the application, with an enclosure designed to protect the core pack and fit inside your product.

Samples and prototyping

Physical samples printed in house so the fit can be checked in days rather than after tooling. A prototype pack is built before anyone commits to volume.

Testing and refinement

Performance and cycling against the specification, with the design refined until it holds rather than shipped and revisited later.

Regulatory approval

UL, TÜV and UN/DOT 38.3 coordinated end to end, from quoting the submittal to the certificate. Samples are built here to the test specification.

Production

Serialized build with automated functional test on every unit and results stored against the pack.
