CNC MachinedMetal

Three, four and continuous five axis machining across AS9100 and ITAR registered facilities. Parts that fit in your hand and weldments that need a crane to load, quoted off one print package.

Overview

The right machinefor the part

Most shops pick a lane. A small part house will not take a fixture that needs a crane to load. A large envelope shop will not want your five hundred piece order of half inch brackets.

Our team quotes across a group of facilities rather than one building, so the part goes to the machine it belongs on. You send one print package and one quote comes back.

Capacity

What fitson the table

Large envelope milling

Travels past 200 inches in X, tables rated to 78,000 pounds, and 25 ton overhead lift to get the work on and off the machine.

Small precision milling

Spindles to 50,000 RPM on tight envelope machines, for fine detail, thin wall and small feature work.

Horizontal boring

Five inch spindle bars with W axis travel to 70 inches, for deep bores and long reach features on large weldments.

Five axis

True continuous five axis for contoured and angled work, plus 3+2 positioning with universal heads on the large machines.

Process

From modelto measured part

Print and model review

Our team looks at the model before quoting it. Features that will not hold, missing datums and tolerances that add cost without adding function get raised early rather than after the first article fails.

Machine selection

The part is matched to an envelope, spindle and workholding that actually suit it, instead of being forced onto whatever happens to be open. Our team develops its own prototype and full rate production fixturing in house.

Programming

CAM in Mastercam, WorkNC and Esprit against your native or neutral data. Toolpaths are proven before anything is cut.

Material and workholding

Material bought to spec with certifications on file. Fixtures and soft jaws built in house when the part needs them.

Machining

Three, four and five axis milling, turning and boring, with in process checks written into the routing rather than left to the operator. Deburr, finishing and plating follow as the print calls for.

Inspection

CMM and 3D scanning against the model, with the first article documented to AS9102 before the balance of the order runs.

Send us the model

A model, a print and a quantity is enough to start. Our team will tell you which machine it belongs on and what it costs.
